Bazanji is an American hip-hop artist of Kurdish descent. He was born in England — where his parents had moved from their native Kurdistan — and at the age of six relocated with his family to North Carolina. Bazanji's music began to flourish while pursuing a degree in dentistry, leaving him with difficult decisions to make regarding his future career. After graduating, he decided to pursue music full-time and has been independently validating his path into the music industry with over 500 million streams.

Before discovering hip-hop, Bazanji experienced a rich taste of music as a drummer in multiple rock bands.
He fell for rap music during middle school when he heard Kanye West's Graduation. In high school, he started making music, and seriously pursued his outlet as a freshman studying at the University of North Carolina.

In 2017, Bazanji released his long-awaited debut album titled Mixed Feelings. The 10-track album debuted at #13 on the iTunes charts. By then, Bazanji's singles were regularly streamed in the millions. A broader audience was reached throughout 2018, a year during which Bazanji released around a dozen commercial tracks, including "Runnin'," a motivational single licensed for numerous placements, including ESPN SportsCenter, College Football, NBA, and Forza Horizon 4. Since then, he has remained consistent with releases and continues to reach new heights. A proudly independent artist, Bazanji also mixes, masters, and often produces his work.
